The library collection undergoes continuous development to support the programs and courses offered by the university. It includes books, journals and other continuing resources, videos, theses and dissertations, and a variety of other supplementary materials, accessible in digital and non-digital formats.
The number of items a user can borrow depends on their user type and the resource category. Please refer to the table below for specific loan limits on General Reference Books.

Online Borrowing and Delivery Options
Users can request library materials to be delivered to their home address or picked up at our learning hubs (Diliman, Visayas, Mindanao) or at the headquarters in Los Baños. Borrowed materials can also be returned to these locations for delivery back to the library. Please note that delivery costs are the borrower’s responsibility.
To request library materials online, users should complete the Borrow & Request form and select the ‘Book Borrowing’ option.
Onsite Borrowing
For onsite borrowing, users must present their validated University ID or registration form for the current semester.
Borrowing Instructions:
- Search and check the availability of books through the library catalog.
- Most materials may be renewed unless there is a reservation or hold request. Renewals can be done by contacting the library directly.
- Please observe the due dates to avoid fines.
Reciprocal Interlibrary Loan Arrangements
The university library extends reciprocal interlibrary loan arrangements with partner institutions, promoting wider access to information.
Borrowing Instructions for Partner Institutions:
- Check the availability of books through the library catalog.
- Provide a written request along with a signed interlibrary loan form.
- Interlibrary loan must be facilitated by the institution’s librarian or information officer.
- Borrowed materials are loaned for a period of two weeks.
- Materials returned past the due date will incur fines.
